The VISHAY AMETHERM SL22 Series NTC Thermistor provides an effective solution for limiting the inrush of current that can damage components in switching power supplies and other power devices when equipment is turned on. Operating as an inrush current limiter, it presents an initial high resistance to the electrical current, which quickly drops to a negligible resistance as the component heats up and the current flows through.
This 2-pin radial leaded thermistor is rated for use in circuits of up to 480VAC and supports a maximum steady state current of 8A at 25°C. With a resistance of 10 Ohm at 25°C and a tolerance of -20% to +20%, it offers reliable performance for demanding applications. The component features a 22mm disc size and carries both CSA and UL approvals, ensuring compliance with rigorous safety standards.
