VISTA CCTV 16-Port Desktop PoE Switch

The VISTA CCTV 16-Port Desktop PoE Switch provides a versatile and powerful solution for expanding Power over Ethernet (PoE) networks, particularly for security and surveillance installations. This unmanaged switch features dual operational modes to suit different cabling requirements and transmission distances.

In 100m mode, the ports function as standard Ethernet UTP connections with autosensing 10/100Mbps speeds and a maximum transmission distance of 90 metres. By simply flicking a dedicated switch, you can activate CCTV (250m) mode. In this setting, the PoE reach for selected camera ports extends up to 250 metres, ideal for long cable runs, though port speeds are reduced to 10Mbps and inter-communication between individual PoE camera ports is disabled. Connectivity is enhanced with dual uplink ports. These support maximum negotiation speeds of either 100Mbps or 1,000Mbps. One uplink is perfect for connecting directly to a local Video Management System (VMS) server or an NDAA-compliant NVR, such as those in the Vista VIP series, effectively increasing PoE port density. The second uplink port can be used to connect to a viewing client PC or integrate the switch into your main network. The robust metal desktop design ensures stable performance in edge and access network applications.
