It combines a built-in Ambisonic microphone array, recorder, and decoder to put immersive 360° audio capture directly in the palm of your hand, eliminating the need for complex external setups.

This versatile device records high-quality Ambisonics, stereo binaural, and standard stereo WAV files at up to 24-bit/96kHz resolution. Its intelligent Auto Mic Position Detection, powered by a 6-axis gyroscope, automatically calibrates the audio orientation whether the unit is placed upright, upside down, or in an endfire position. This ensures your spatial audio is perfectly aligned with your video footage from the moment of recording, saving significant time in post-production.

For live events, the H3-VR enables you to live stream in 360 degrees, allowing remote audiences to experience the event as if they were there. The included ZOOM Ambisonics Player software simplifies post-production, allowing you to easily convert Ambisonics files into stereo, binaural, or 5.1 surround sound formats. You can play, trim, re-orientate, and export your final audio files in just minutes.

The recorder features a 1.25-inch monochrome LCD screen for clear settings monitoring, a headphone output with binaural monitoring of the Ambisonics signal, and a 3.5mm line output. It is powered by two supplied AA batteries or via USB bus power and records to widely available SD cards with support for capacities up to 512GB.
