5 Litre Red Oxide Rust Inhibiting Primer

This 5 litre red oxide rust inhibiting primer is a high‑volume, ready‑to‑use primer designed to protect metal surfaces from corrosion and provide a durable base for topcoats. The red oxide pigment offers excellent coverage and acts as a visual guide during application, ensuring even coverage. Its formulation promotes strong adhesion to ferrous metals, helping to extend the life of the substrate and reduce maintenance requirements.

Key Features

• Provides a robust barrier against rust and corrosion on iron and steel.
• High‑volume 5 litre tin is suitable for large projects and professional use.
• Red oxide colour gives good opacity and serves as a visual application aid.
• Promotes excellent adhesion for a secure bond with subsequent paint layers.
• Ready‑to‑use straight from the tin for convenient application.

Applications

Ideal for priming a wide range of ferrous metal surfaces prior to painting, this primer is commonly used on structural steelwork, fencing, railings, gates, agricultural equipment, industrial machinery, and outdoor metal furniture. It is a practical choice for both trade and DIY projects where long‑term corrosion protection is a priority.
