Cloud BE-1B Balanced Line Input Wall Plate

The Cloud BE-1B is an active, balanced line-level input plate designed for use with Cloud DCM-1/DCM-1e Digital Control Zone Mixers. Finished in black, it provides a convenient way to add local stereo balanced inputs within a zone, allowing professional audio sources—such as mixing consoles, DI boxes, or broadcast equipment—to integrate seamlessly into a Cloud audio system.

Two Balanced XLR Inputs accept stereo line-level signals, optimised for a nominal level of 0 dBu and capable of accepting up to +12 dBu. The module connects via a single CAT-5 cable to one of four RJ45 input ports on the DCM-1/DCM-1e, simplifying installation and reducing cable clutter.

This unit replaces equivalent line inputs on the mixer and can be assigned to 1–4 groups for room-combining applications, offering flexible system configuration. The active module is powered directly from the DCM-1 via the CAT-5 connection, eliminating the need for a separate power supply.

Mounting

The BE-1B fits a standard UK dual-gang back box with a minimum depth of 35 mm, ensuring compatibility with typical UK installations. Its black finish blends discreetly with professional environments, on-wall placement in meeting rooms, presentation spaces, and commercial sound installations.
