DFROBOT 3W Mini Audio Stereo Amplifier

The DFROBOT 3W Mini Audio Stereo Amplifier is a compact and fully functional two-channel audio module, ideal for adding high-quality stereo sound to a wide range of electronic projects. It is designed with both left and right audio channels to deliver true stereo surround sound from a remarkably small footprint. The module features a 2mm pin pitch, making it exceptionally convenient to embed directly into your devices for a seamless integration.

This versatile amplifier includes an electric switcher for easy control and supports two distinct operational modes: sleeping mode and working mode. When the control pin “SW” is set to Low (0V), the amplifier’s bias circuit disengages, placing the module into a low-power sleep state. When “SW” is set to High (5V), the module enters its working mode, ready to amplify audio. By default, the amplifier is in working mode when the pin is left unconnected, ensuring immediate functionality out of the box.

A standout feature is its compatibility with the Stereo Enclosed Speaker (FIT0502), allowing for direct audio control without the need for any programming, simplifying your build process. The amplifier is engineered for efficiency, operating at greater than 90% to maximise battery life in portable applications. It delivers a robust output power of 3W+3W into a 4-ohm load, providing clear and audible sound for its size. Safe operation is ensured with a power supply range of 3.6-5.5V DC; it is crucial not to exceed 5.5V to prevent damage to the internal chip.
