The DFRobot Fermion: MAX30102 Heart Rate and Oximeter Sensor V2.0 is a compact and intelligent breakout board designed to simplify the integration of heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring into your electronics projects. Built around the Analog Devices MAX30102 chip, this sensor employs Photo Plethysmography (PPG) to capture accurate physiological data. An onboard microcontroller processes the raw PPG signals into heart rate and oximetry values, significantly reducing the computational load on your main controller.
Data can be conveniently read via I2C or UART interfaces, and the included upper computer software allows you to view the readings directly on a PC. This makes the sensor exceptionally easy to use, even for beginners. The board measures just 18 x 22mm, making it ideal for space-constrained wearable projects.
