The Multicomp Pro Automotive PCB Relay is a compact, microminiature, general-purpose component designed for robust performance in vehicle electrical systems. Featuring a Single-Pole, Single-Throw, Normally Open (SPST-NO) contact configuration, this through-hole relay is engineered for reliable switching of high-current loads with precision and durability.

At its core, the relay utilises silver alloy contacts, which provide a maximum contact resistance of just 100mohm (measured at 6VDC/1A), ensuring efficient power transfer and minimising voltage drop. The coil is rated for a nominal voltage of 24V DC, with a resistance of 900 ohm ±10%, requiring only 0.64W of power to operate. It features an operate voltage of 14.4VDC and a release voltage of 2.4VDC, guaranteeing stable and predictable switching behaviour.

This relay is built for demanding automotive environments. It boasts an impressive mechanical life of 10 million operations and can handle a maximum continuous current of 35A for 10 minutes or 25A for 1 minute, with a high inrush current capability of up to 90A. Its insulation resistance is a minimum of 100MΩ at 500VDC, offering excellent electrical isolation and safety. With a swift maximum operate and release time of 10ms, it ensures rapid circuit control.

Encased in a compact footprint measuring just 15.5mm x 12.2mm x 13.9mm, it is ideal for space-constrained PCB designs. The relay operates reliably across a wide temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, making it suitable for under-bonnet applications and other harsh conditions.
