Multicomp Pro BU426A NPN High Voltage Power Transistor 400V 6A TO-247

The Multicomp Pro BU426A NPN High Voltage Power Transistor 400V 6A TO-247 is a fast-switching NPN power transistor designed for demanding high-voltage applications, including colour television power supply systems. It offers a minimum collector-emitter sustaining voltage of 400V, a continuous collector current of 6A and a power dissipation rating of 113W.

Overview

A key feature of this transistor is its high collector-emitter sustaining voltage, which supports stable operation in circuits with significant potential differences. Its low collector-emitter saturation voltage helps reduce power loss during the switching state, contributing to improved efficiency. The component is housed in a TO-247 case style for through-hole mounting on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and operates within a maximum temperature of 150°C.

Applications

This high-voltage power transistor is suited to power management tasks within consumer electronics. Its fast-switching characteristics and high-voltage tolerance make it suitable for controlling and managing electrical power in the following applications:

• Switch-mode power supplies (SMPS)
• Inverters
• Voltage regulation circuits
