Multicomp Pro Fibre Optic Drop Cable Slitter

The Multicomp Pro MP010968 Fibre Optic Drop Cable Slitter is a precision tool engineered to streamline the process of splitting the protective jacket from fibre optic drop cables. Designed for both end and mid-span slitting, it provides a clean, efficient method to access the internal fibres without causing damage. Its primary function is to facilitate maintenance, installation, and repair work in telecommunications and fibre optic networks.

Specifically engineered for Slippery Fish Oval 12F Drop Cables within a diameter range of Ø7.9mm to 8.3mm, this tool ensures a perfect fit and reliable performance. The mechanism features a positive locking system indicated by an audible click, confirming the tool is securely in place and ready for the slitting operation. Once locked, a simple twist of the tool around the cable cleanly separates the outer jacket and strength members, leaving the delicate optical fibres completely undamaged and ready for splicing or termination.

The tool boasts an ergonomic design that prioritises user comfort and efficiency during prolonged use. It is lightweight, making it easy to handle and operate with minimal fatigue, which is crucial for technicians performing field installations or detailed maintenance work. This combination of precision engineering and user-friendly design makes it an indispensable tool for professionals in telecommunications, network maintenance, and utility services.
