The Multicomp Pro MCKNP series is a robust wirewound resistor designed for high-reliability applications. It features a rod-type ceramic body for mechanical strength and excellent thermal properties, ensuring stable operation. The resistor is fitted with a tin-plated iron surface steel end cap, providing a durable and corrosion-resistant connection point. For easy integration into circuits, it uses annealed copper leads coated with a tin-lead alloy, which are insulated and finished with a non-flame paint coating for added safety.
This component is engineered for demanding environments, offering excellent flame resistance and a non-inductive winding design, making it suitable for high-frequency circuits where inductive effects must be minimised. It is capable of being joined by welding, with no evidence of flaming or arcing during the process. The leads are designed to withstand mechanical stress, as they can be bent 90° approximately 6mm from the resistor body and rotated 360° in alternating directions for a total of three rotations without failure.
With a power rating of 3W and a resistance tolerance of ±5%, this 2.7Ω resistor provides a reliable and precise solution for current limiting, voltage division, and power dissipation tasks.
