Multicomp Pro Rotary DIP Switch SMD 2 Pole 16 Position 33 mm x 15 mm

The Multicomp Pro Rotary DIP Switch SMD is a 2 pole, 16 position surface-mount switch for precise manual circuit configuration in compact electronics.

Overview

The switch features a white recessed actuator made from LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer) thermoplastic, which supports reliable manual operation and resistance to heat and environmental factors commonly encountered in PCB applications. Its copper alloy contacts are gold plated, providing electrical conductivity, low contact resistance and long-term reliability by minimising oxidation. This makes the switch suitable for sensitive signal paths.

Key Features

• 16 switch positions and 2 poles for flexible configuration
• 22.5° angle of throw for a positive, tactile feel at each position change
• Non-illuminated actuator
• Gold-plated copper alloy contacts
• Compact SMD footprint for efficient use of board space

Electrical Ratings

The switch is rated for a maximum DC contact voltage of 50 V, a DC current of 100 mA and a maximum AC voltage of 250 V.

Applications

The switch can be used for setting device addresses, configuring operating modes or selecting different circuit parameters. It is suited to telecommunications equipment, industrial control systems, test and measurement instruments, computer peripherals and embedded systems requiring reliable manual configuration settings.

Mounting

Designed for surface-mount technology (SMT) assembly processes, the switch suits modern electronic designs that require compact board layouts.

The Multicomp Pro Rotary DIP Switch SMD is a practical configurable interface component for engineers and designers working with compact PCB-based electronics.
