Multicomp Pro 1Ω, 5% tolerance, 3W wirewound resistor. Flame-proof, non-inductive & AEC-Q200 qualified for robust electronics.
The Multicomp Pro MCKNP series is a robust wirewound resistor designed for demanding electronic applications. It features a rod-type ceramic body and tin-plated iron surface steel end caps, providing a durable and reliable construction. The through-hole fixed resistor utilises annealed copper leads coated with tin for excellent solderability, and it is finished with an insulated, non-flammable paint coating.
This resistor is engineered for safety and performance, exhibiting no evidence of flaming or arcing during operation. Its excellent flame resistance makes it suitable for circuits where fire safety is a priority. The component is of a non-inductive type, minimising unwanted inductance in high-frequency applications. It is rated for continuous operation in ambient temperatures up to 70°C.
A key feature is its ability to be joined by welding, offering an alternative connection method. For mechanical stress testing, the terminal leads are designed to be bent 90° at a point approximately 6mm from the resistor body and then rotated 360° about their axis in alternating directions for a total of three full rotations without failure.
