The Proception UK CAT5/6 LAN Network Cable Tester is an essential diagnostic tool for IT professionals, network installers, and anyone managing structured cabling. By plugging the remote into a wall outlet or patch panel up to 300 metres away, you can test an entire cable run from end-to-end, eliminating the need for a second person at the far end.

Clear visual feedback is provided via nine LEDs on the main unit. These lights correspond directly to each individual wire in the cable (pins 1-8 plus the shield), instantly showing which conductors are correctly connected, crossed, or missing. This makes fault identification fast and intuitive.

The tester is also compatible with Power over Ethernet (PoE) voltages up to 60V, allowing for safe testing on live network segments where PoE might be present. The unit is powered by a common 9V PP3 battery (not included), ensuring it is ready for use in the field. Compact and portable, its small form factor makes it easy to carry in a tool bag or pocket.
