The RF Solutions Ai-WB2-07S is a highly integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) module, designed for the next generation of connected devices. Featuring the low-power BL602 32-bit RISC processor core, this module provides robust wireless connectivity with support for Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n protocols and the latest Bluetooth 5.0 standard, including Bluetooth mesh networking.

A key advantage is its comprehensive security suite. The module supports a wide array of Wi-Fi security protocols—WPS, WEP, WPA, WPA2 Personal, WPA2 Enterprise, and WPA3—ensuring secure network integration. For application and data security, it features a secure boot with ECC-256 signature, an AES encryption engine (128/192/256-bit), SHA hashing, and a true random number generator (TRNG). It also supports On-The-Fly AES decryption for SPI Flash, enhancing both performance and protection.

Feature-Rich Connectivity

With 276KB of integrated RAM and an extensive set of peripheral interfaces, the Ai-WB2-07S offers exceptional flexibility for design integration. Available interfaces include SDIO, SPI, UART, I2C, IR Remote, PWM, ADC, DAC, PIR, and multiple GPIOs. This allows for easy connection to sensors, displays, and other system components.

The module operates on the 2.4GHz band with a 20MHz bandwidth, achieving a maximum Wi-Fi data rate of 72.2 Mbps. It supports multiple operational modes, including Station + BLE and Station + SoftAP + BLE, enabling it to act as a network client, an access point, or both simultaneously. The integrated RF front-end includes PA and LNA for improved signal strength and range.

Compact and Versatile Design

Housed in a compact SMD-16 package measuring just 17.0 x 16.0 x 3.1mm, it is ideal for space-constrained applications. The inclusion of an external antenna connector allows for further optimisation of wireless range and performance based on the specific deployment environment.
