StarTech.com 2 Port 2.5GbE PoE PCIe Network Card

The StarTech.com 2 Port 2.5GbE PoE PCIe Network Card is a desktop PCI Express add-in card providing two multi-gigabit Ethernet ports, with speeds of up to 2.5 Gbps per port.

The card adds two independent network ports to a desktop PC. Each port supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), allowing compatible devices such as IP cameras, wireless access points, and VoIP phones to be powered directly through the network cable. This removes the need for separate power adapters at the device location, simplifying installation and reducing cable clutter.

Installation and Connectivity

The card uses the widely compatible PCI Express bus interface and fits into a standard PCIe slot on the motherboard. The dual-port design offers flexibility for connecting to two separate networks, creating a dedicated link for high-bandwidth tasks, or setting up basic network failover.
