The TEXAS INSTRUMENTS ISO1050DUBR is a galvanically isolated CAN (Controller Area Network) transceiver designed for reliable data transmission in electrically noisy and harsh industrial environments. It meets the specifications of the ISO11898-2 standard, featuring a silicon oxide (SiO2) insulation barrier that provides a high isolation voltage of 2500VRMS. This isolation prevents disruptive noise currents on a data bus from entering the local ground and interfering with or damaging sensitive connected circuitry.
As a high-performance transceiver, the device supports signalling rates of up to 1 megabit per second (Mbps). It offers robust protection features for operation in demanding conditions, including bus fault protection from –27V to 40V, a wide common-mode range of –12V to 12V, and over-temperature shutdown. Its high transient immunity of 50 kV/µs ensures reliable communication even in the presence of electrical surges.
