The Texas Instruments LM2665M6/NOPB is a versatile, high-efficiency switched capacitor voltage converter designed for modern power management applications. Operating as both a voltage doubler and a voltage divider, this compact integrated circuit provides exceptional flexibility for battery-powered and space-constrained designs.
As a doubler, it can generate an output voltage from an input in the range of 2.5V to 5.5V. Alternatively, it can function as a divider to split an input voltage between 1.8V and 11V in half. The converter delivers a maximum output current of 40mA with a typical output impedance of just 12Ω, ensuring stable and efficient power delivery.
A key advantage is its impressive 90% typical conversion efficiency at 40mA, which is critical for maximising battery life in portable devices. It achieves this with a low operating current of only 650µA and an extremely low typical shutdown current of 1µA. The internal oscillator frequency of 160kHz helps to minimise output resistance and voltage ripple for cleaner power.
