The TEXAS INSTRUMENTS LP2950CZ-5.0/NOPB is a high-precision, 5V fixed-output low-dropout (LDO) linear voltage regulator engineered for exceptional efficiency and stability. It features an impressively low quiescent current of just 75µA (typical) and a minimal dropout voltage—typically 40mV at light loads and only 380mV at the full 100mA output current. This combination significantly prolongs battery life in portable applications, as the quiescent current increases only slightly even when the device is in dropout.

Careful design minimises all error contributions, resulting in outstanding performance metrics. These include a tight initial output voltage tolerance (0.5% typical), excellent load and line regulation (0.05% typical), and a very low output voltage temperature coefficient. This high accuracy also makes the device suitable for use as a low-power voltage reference.

The regulator is equipped with two valuable control pins.
