The Texas Instruments SN65220DBVR is a 6-pin Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode, specifically engineered to provide robust protection for Universal Serial Bus (USB) low-speed and full-speed ports against electrical noise transients. These potentially damaging voltage spikes, which can originate from various sources in any cabled I/O environment, are safely clamped by this device, shielding sensitive USB transceivers and application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) from harm.
Key to its performance is a typical low input capacitance of just 35pF, which helps preserve signal integrity.
