Integrated switching MOSFETs and internal loop compensation significantly reduce the overall component count, while the internal 5ms soft start ensures smooth power-up sequences.
Protection and Reliability
The regulator is equipped with comprehensive protection features, including cycle-by-cycle current limit on the high side MOSFET and a low side MOSFET freewheeling current limit to prevent current runaway. Hiccup mode protection activates if an overcurrent condition persists. Additional safeguards include over-voltage protection and thermal shutdown, ensuring robust performance in demanding environments.
Measuring just 43 mm in height, 33 mm in width, and 15 mm in depth, with a weight of 2.5 grams, this regulator is well-suited for space-constrained designs in industrial and consumer electronics.
