The 4tronix Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Breakout is a straightforward and robust solution for adding accurate distance measurement to your robotics projects. This clever breakout board is fully compatible with Pimoroni's Breakout Garden system, allowing you to plug it directly into any I2C connector and utilise it on GPIO pin 4 with minimal fuss.
Engineered for simplicity and reliability, it features a single-pin, 3.3V design where both the Ping and Echo signals are handled on the same pin, simplifying your wiring and code. This makes it an ideal upgrade for educational robots and hobbyist builds, providing a key sensing capability for navigation and object avoidance.
It is officially supported on a wide range of popular 4tronix robot platforms, including the Pi2Go Mk2, Pi-Bug, Bit:Bot XL, and Minibit, as well as other 4tronix robots released from July 2019 onwards. Please note, the original Pi2Go is not supported. Its compact form factor ensures it can be integrated without taking up valuable space on your robot's chassis.
