Precise Allegro ±20A Hall effect current sensor IC, 80kHz bandwidth, 5.5V supply. Ideal for motor control & power management.
The Allegro ACS712ELCTR-20A-T is a fully integrated, Hall-effect-based linear current sensor IC designed for economical and precise AC or DC current sensing in industrial, commercial, and communications systems. This surface-mount device features a low-resistance current conductor, enabling easy implementation with excellent accuracy.
The sensor operates on a principle where current flowing through an internal copper conduction path generates a magnetic field, which is converted into a proportional voltage by a precise, low-offset linear Hall circuit. Its performance is optimised by the close proximity of the magnetic signal to the Hall transducer, resulting in highly stable readings.
Key Features & Performance
Housed in a compact 8-pin SOIC package, this robust sensor is designed for reliable operation across an extensive temperature range from -40°C to 85°C. It is an ideal solution for integrating precise current monitoring into electronic designs.
