The BRAINBOXES 2-Port RS422/485 Ethernet to Serial Device Server offers high-performance serial to Ethernet conversion with data transfer rates up to 1,000,000 baud. Featuring 1Mbit/s line drivers, it provides uncompromising performance for industrial and networking applications.
The RS485 configuration uses 1 twisted pair in a half-duplex setup with autogating, ensuring trouble-free data transmission through automatic control of data direction. A secure web interface allows easy configuration and control of the serial ports over a local network or the internet using any browser.
For Windows users, the included in-house designed (32-bit and 64-bit) driver enables local COM ports, allowing seamless integration with existing software applications. This means you can connect to remote devices across your network as if they were directly attached. Serial Port Tunnelling (individually configurable) lets you replace serial cables over any distance without requiring additional software.
