The Broadcom ASSR-1228-002E is a standard solid state relay (SSR) featuring DPST-NO (2 Form A) contacts and through-hole terminals. This compact, dual-channel relay uses an AlGaAs infrared LED input stage that is optically coupled to a high-voltage output detector circuit. The detector includes a high-speed photovoltaic diode array and driver circuitry to switch two discrete high-voltage MOSFETs on and off.
This relay turns on with a minimum input current of just 3mA and turns off with an input voltage of 0.8V or less, ensuring reliable and efficient operation. With a reinforced insulation rating of 3.75kV, excellent transient immunity of over 1kV/μs, and low on-resistance (typ. 0.25Ω for DC, 1Ω for AC/DC), it delivers clean switching and minimal signal distortion. The relay operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C, making it suitable for demanding environments.
