The COMUS/ASSEMTECH MMPSA 240/100 is a robust, rectangular reed switch based proximity sensor designed for reliable position and limit sensing across a variety of industrial and security applications. Operating on the principle of a magnetically actuated reed contact, it provides a highly dependable switching solution where physical contact is not desired or practical.
This switch features a normally closed (NC) contact form and is engineered for durability in demanding environments. With a maximum switching voltage of 400V AC and a current capacity of 0.5A, it can handle a significant resistive load of up to 10W/VA. Its key operational characteristic is a minimum switching distance of 10mm, requiring the suggested MMPSM magnet to actuate the reed contact reliably within this range.
Housed in a compact rectangular case measuring 43mm x 33mm x 15mm, the device is supplied with a 2-core cable for easy integration. The cable consists of two 0.14mm² round wires with PVC insulation, coloured grey and insulated brown/white, providing clear polarity identification during installation. The switch offers stable performance with a low maximum contact resistance of 150mΩ, ensuring efficient signal transmission.
Built to operate reliably in temperatures from -20°C to +85°C, this proximity switch is suitable for use in instrumentation panels, security system door monitors, and industrial machinery.
