The DURAKOOL DG55M Series Automotive Relay is a high-performance Mini-ISO style relay engineered specifically for demanding electric vehicle and automotive DC switching applications. Optimised for operation up to 110VDC, it provides a robust and reliable solution for controlling high-current circuits.

This relay features a unique terminal arrangement designed for compatibility with standard Mini-ISO sockets, ensuring easy installation and replacement. The use of silver tin oxide (AgSnO2) contact material ensures excellent conductivity and durability, even under frequent switching cycles. The SPST-NO (Single Pole Single Throw, Normally Open) contact configuration is ideal for standard on/off control functions.

Key features include an integral suppression diode across terminals 85 and 86, which protects sensitive control circuits from voltage spikes generated by the relay coil. The quick-connect flat blade terminals (6.35mm) facilitate secure and straightforward wiring. The relay is supplied with an IP54-rated dust cover, offering protection against dust and water splashes, making it suitable for use in harsh under-bonnet or industrial environments.

With a nominal coil voltage of 48VDC and a coil resistance of 1152 ohm (±10%), it delivers fast switching with an operate time of 10 milliseconds and a release time of 12 milliseconds. It is capable of switching a maximum voltage of 110VDC and a substantial current of 40A, with a minimum switching load of 1A at 5VDC. Built to withstand extreme conditions, it operates reliably across an ambient temperature range from -40°C to +85°C.
