The Hammonds Furniture Ltd ABS Enclosure (180x60x180mm) is specifically designed for mounting printed circuit boards or DIN rail mounted components. This 'styled' lid version offers distinct advantages over flat lid models, featuring a smooth recessed surface on the lid suitable for a membrane keypad or label, along with moulded standoffs in the interior of the lid designed for #6 self-tapping screws.
Moulded from general-purpose ABS material, the enclosure carries a flammability rating of UL94-HB. It features a gasketed lid with a two-piece 'tongue and groove' construction, providing robust protection against the ingress of oil, dust, and water. The one-piece gasket is made from high-temperature, UL-listed silicone.
Designed to meet NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12, and 13 ratings, this enclosure is IP66 rated. The lid is secured with included M4 stainless steel machine screws, which thread into integral stainless steel bushings, allowing for repetitive assembly and disassembly. All hardware is stainless steel to prevent corrosion from dissimilar metals, and the lid screws are self-captivating. Internal features are maximised for versatile mounting options, which vary with size.
