The INTERSIL 3140 BiMOS Operational Amplifier combines the advantages of high voltage PMOS transistors with high voltage bipolar transistors on a single monolithic chip. Housed in an 8-pin DIP package, this device features gate-protected MOSFET transistors in the input circuit, providing very high input impedance, very low input current, and high-speed performance.
This operational amplifier is internally phase compensated to achieve stable operation in unity gain follower applications. It also includes an access terminal for a supplementary external capacitor if additional frequency roll-off is desired. The output stage uses bipolar transistors and incorporates built-in protection against damage from load terminal short circuits to either supply rail or to ground.
