Timco Intum. Fire Intumescent Fire Door Strip - 10 x 4 x 2100mm
Certifire-certified intumescent strip for 30-min fire doors. Mineral-based, self-adhesive, and tested for 100-year durability.
The Timco Intum. Fire Intumescent Strip is an essential safety component for upgrading doors to meet 30-minute fire resistance standards. Designed for 'fire only' doors, this high-performance seal provides critical protection by expanding rapidly when exposed to heat, effectively sealing gaps around the door perimeter to prevent the spread of flames and smoke.
Crafted from a specialist mineral-based formula, the strip is completely safe to handle, containing no fibrous materials or harmful chemicals. Its robust construction ensures it remains unaffected by moisture, humidity, atmospheric pollution, and common household or industrial chemicals, guaranteeing long-term reliability. The product has undergone rigorous laboratory ageing tests simulating 100 years of service, providing unparalleled confidence in its durability.
A key feature is its rapid, high-pressure, multi-directional expansion upon heat exposure, which creates an effective seal in all directions. For simplified installation, each strip comes with a convenient self-adhesive backing, allowing for a quick and secure fit without the need for additional adhesives or tools. This bulk pack is supplied without an integrated brush seal, making it the ideal choice for applications where a standalone intumescent solution is required.
The product holds the prestigious Certifire Certification CF846, independently verifying its performance and compliance with stringent fire safety regulations. By installing these strips, you significantly enhance the passive fire protection of a property, helping to compartmentalise fire and protect escape routes, assets, and lives.
