The KEMET PME271M Series Safety Capacitor is constructed from multilayer metallised paper, encapsulated and impregnated in self-extinguishing material that meets the stringent requirements of UL 94 V-0. Designed for reliability and safety, this component is an excellent choice for electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression in across-the-line applications worldwide.
Featuring a radial box format with 2 pins, this through-hole capacitor boasts excellent self-healing properties and a high dV/dt capability of 1.2kV/µs. It operates effectively within a temperature range of −40˚C to +110˚C and carries important safety approvals including ENEC, UL, and cUL. Furthermore, the device is RoHS compliant and features lead-free terminations, ensuring environmental responsibility alongside high performance.
