Housed within a robust and transparent acrylic case, the Arcade features a vibrant 1.77-inch full-colour LCD screen with a resolution of 160 x 128 pixels, providing a clear and engaging visual interface for your creations. It includes seven fully programmable buttons for precise control: a directional pad (D-pad), A and B action buttons, and a dedicated menu button.
The platform is powered by three standard AA batteries (Alkaline or rechargeable NiMH/NiCad), which slot neatly into the back, offering an impressive battery life of approximately 20 hours of typical use. All processing power, game storage, and audio capabilities are provided by your own plugged-in BBC micro:bit V2, which connects via the onboard expansion connector to complete the circuit. Please Note: This Arcade platform is only compatible with the BBC micro:bit V2 (and above) and is not compatible with the earlier V1 model. The micro:bit itself and batteries are not included.
