The TP-Link LiteWave 8 Port Gigabit Desktop Switch with PoE+ is a compact, unmanaged network switch that provides PoE+ on all eight ports, with up to 30W per port and a total PoE power budget of 62W. It is designed for small business and home office networks, delivering power and data to connected devices over a single cable.

Key Features

• PoE+ (IEEE 802.3af/at) support on all eight ports, providing up to 30W per port
• Total PoE power budget of 62W
• PoE Auto Recovery, which automatically reboots non-responsive PoE-powered devices such as wireless access points or security cameras
• Extend Mode on ports 1 and 2 for long-range power and data transmission over distances of up to 250 m
• 16 Gb/s switching capacity and a 4K MAC address table
• Auto MDI/MDI-X crossover detection on every port, requiring no configuration
• Compact, fanless housing for silent operation

Applications

The switch suits small business and home office networks, surveillance installations with security cameras, connections to wireless access points, and office or retail environments. Extend Mode on ports 1 and 2 is suited to connecting distant security cameras.

Installation

The switch offers plug-and-play installation, as auto MDI/MDI-X detection on each port removes the need for configuration. Its PoE+ capability reduces the need for separate power cabling to connected devices, helping to reduce cable clutter. The package includes an AC adaptor and user guide, and the unit is supplied with a UK mains plug (Type G).
