The LM35 is a precision integrated-circuit temperature sensor from Texas Instruments, delivering an output voltage that is linearly proportional to temperature in degrees Centigrade. Unlike linear sensors calibrated in Kelvin, the LM35 requires no large constant voltage subtraction to achieve convenient Centigrade scaling, simplifying readout and control circuitry integration.
This sensor provides typical accuracies of ±¼°C at room temperature and ±¾°C over the full −55°C to +150°C temperature range, with no external calibration or trimming. Its low output impedance (0.1 Ω for a 1 mA load), linear output, and precise inherent calibration make interfacing with analogue-to-digital converters or control systems straightforward. The device operates from single power supplies or dual (plus and minus) supplies.
