Loctite 2701 High Strength Threadlocker Adhesive, Green, 50ml
Loctite 2701 green threadlocker. High strength, UV-fluorescent for inspection, 50ml bottle. Resists vibration & seals threads.
The Loctite 2701 Threadlocker Adhesive is a professional-grade, high-strength bonding solution specifically designed for securing threaded fasteners. This methacrylate-based adhesive features a distinctive green colour and a low viscosity formula, ensuring it flows easily into the finest threads for complete coverage and a reliable seal.
A key feature of this product is its fluorescence under UV light, which provides a clear visual indicator for quality control and post-application inspection. This allows technicians and engineers to verify proper application and coverage, ensuring optimal performance. It develops a particularly strong bond on chromated surfaces, preventing unwanted movement, loosening, leaks, and corrosion in critical assemblies.
Performance and Applications
Loctite 2701 is engineered to resist vibration and shock, making it ideal for demanding environments in automotive, aerospace, industrial machinery, and electronics. It effectively seals threads, allowing for through-hole tapping and preventing fluid seepage. The formula tolerates slight contamination from industrial oils, offering practical resilience in real-world workshop and factory conditions.
It is suitable for use on all metal fasteners, including steel, stainless steel, and brass, with varying fixture times to suit different materials. This versatility makes it an essential component in maintenance, repair, and manufacturing operations where fastener security is paramount.
