The MCP73832T-2ACI/OT is a miniature, fully integrated charge management controller designed for single-cell Li-Ion and Li-Polymer batteries. Housed in a compact 5-pin SOT-23 package, this device is ideal for space-constrained and cost-sensitive applications, requiring minimal external components.

Utilising a constant current/constant voltage (CC/CV) charge algorithm, the MCP73832 offers selectable preconditioning and charge termination. The charge current is programmable from 15mA to 500mA via a single external resistor, while the regulated output voltage is preset to 4.2V with high accuracy (0.75%). The device also features thermal regulation, which limits charge current during high power or high ambient conditions, optimising charge cycle time and maintaining reliability.
