The MICROCHIP PIC16F73-I/SP is a high-performance 8-bit Flash-based CMOS microcontroller, ideal for demanding embedded applications. Built around a RISC CPU architecture, it executes most instructions in a single cycle, ensuring efficient and responsive operation. Its integrated 7KB of Flash program memory is readable across the full operating voltage range, providing flexibility for in-circuit updates and data logging.

A key feature is its versatile set of on-chip peripherals. This includes five channels of 8-bit Analogue-to-Digital conversion, enabling precise sensor interfacing. For timing and control, it offers two capture/compare/PWM modules and two additional timers.
