The MICROCHIP PIC18F2420 is a high-performance 8-bit flash microcontroller from the renowned PIC18 family. Combining powerful PIC® RISC architecture with up to 16 MIPS of processing power, it ensures rapid 200-nanosecond instruction execution, making it an excellent choice for demanding embedded applications.
This CMOS flash-based microcontroller offers 16kB of addressable program memory and 768 bytes of data memory. It features 25 general-purpose I/O pins, two comparators, and a 10-channel 10-bit analogue-to-digital (A/D) converter. Operating at a maximum frequency of 40MHz, it supports a wide operating voltage range of 2V to 5.5V.

Designed for flexibility and robust operation, the PIC18F2420 includes an integrated 8x8 hardware multiply function, a 32-level hardware stack, and 83 C-optimised instructions. It also features programmable brown-out reset (BOR), programmable low voltage detection, and a 32kHz to 8MHz internal oscillator. Communication and connectivity are supported through EUSART, I2C, and SPI interfaces, alongside a Local Interconnect Network (LIN) and In-Circuit Serial Programming™ (ICSP™).
