This connector utilises an IDC (Insulation Displacement Contact) or IDT termination type, allowing for quick and secure cable connections without the need for stripping wires. The connector shell is constructed from tin-plated stamped steel, providing robust mechanical protection and effective shielding. An optional 4-40 UNC threaded version is available for applications requiring secure panel mounting, and the design is compatible with standard D-sub backshells.
