The Multicomp Pro 5-Way End Stackable DIP Slide Switch is a robust and reliable component designed for precise circuit configuration in demanding environments. Its key feature is the end-stackable design, allowing multiple switches to be mounted adjacently on a PCB, saving valuable board space. The recessed slide actuator helps prevent accidental operation, ensuring settings remain intact.
Constructed for durability, the switch features a black high-temperature thermoplastic nylon base and cover, both UL94V-0 rated for flame retardancy. The actuator is made from a white high-temperature thermoplastic LCP, also UL94V-0 rated, ensuring performance stability. The contacts and terminals are gold-plated; the contact is a copper alloy, and the terminal is brass, providing excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance for long-term reliability.
This sealed DIP switch is rated for a switching capacity of 25mA at 24VDC in an SPST (Single Pole, Single Throw) contact configuration. It offers a high insulation resistance of up to 100MΩ at 500VDC and a low contact resistance of 100mΩ at 500VDC. With a mechanical and electrical life of 2,000 cycles each and a maximum operating force of 1000gf, it is built for repeated use. The operating temperature range of -20°C to +85°C makes it suitable for various industrial conditions. The unit is also top tape sealed to protect against contaminants during soldering.
