Multicomp Pro Thermal Switch, NC, 130°C

The Multicomp Pro Thermal Switch is a high-precision, snap-action thermostat designed for reliable temperature regulation. It operates as a normally closed (NC) switch, opening at its set point of 130°C to deactivate a connected system, thereby preventing overheating. This manual reset mechanism ensures safety, as the circuit remains open until manually reset after a fault condition.

Constructed for durability in demanding environments, the switch features a robust combination of materials including a PF case, an aluminium cap, and a brass stationary arm. The contacts are made from AgNi/Cu (T2), offering excellent electrical conductivity and longevity. Its heart is a precision bimetal disc that provides the snap-action response to temperature changes, ensuring accurate and repeatable switching.

Performance and Specifications

This thermostat is rated for 10A at 250V AC, making it suitable for controlling significant electrical loads in heating, cooling, or power circuits. It boasts impressive electrical characteristics, including a low contact resistance of below 50mΩ and a high insulation resistance exceeding 100MΩ. The dielectric strength is rated at 1500V AC for one minute, ensuring reliable isolation and safety.
