The NANOTEC 3 Phase Flat Brushless DC Motor is designed for smooth running and a long service life, featuring a 16-pole external rotor. High energy permanent magnets allow high acceleration and speeds of up to 14000rpm with exceptional efficiency.

The rotor position is reported electronically using three hall sensors offset by 120°. Optional encoders with up to 1000 pulses/rev allow high-resolution position controlling. The permanent magnets are located on the rotor bell revolving around the internal stator with the windings. In addition to the shorter design, the advantage of this construction compared to internal rotor motors comes from having the same output with a lower torque ripple due to the rotor's higher inertia torque.
