The Pimoroni SCD41 CO2 Sensor Breakout is a compact and versatile board based around the Sensirion SCD41 carbon dioxide sensor. Utilising advanced photoacoustic technology, this sensor calculates the precise proportion of carbon dioxide in the air, offering an extended detection range from 400 to 5,000 ppm with high accuracy of ±40 ppm +5%. In addition to CO2 levels, it also measures temperature and relative humidity, making it an excellent all-in-one environmental monitoring solution.
This breakout board is designed for seamless integration into your projects. It is fully compatible with the Pimoroni Breakout Garden system, allowing for tool-free insertion. Furthermore, it features Qw/ST compatibility, enabling easy connection with devices sporting Qwiic or STEMMA QT connectors. The board operates on a 3-5V supply and communicates via an I2C interface (address 0x62).
Development and Compatibility
The SCD41 breakout features a Raspberry Pi compatible pinout (pins 1, 3, 5, 7, 9) and can be programmed using Python on a Raspberry Pi or C++/MicroPython on a Raspberry Pi Pico. This flexibility makes it suitable for a wide range of makers and developers.
