The Proto-Advantage DIP-8 to SOIC-8 Narrow Adaptor is a compact PCB that enables a SOIC-8 Narrow (150/200 mil body, 0.050''/1.27mm pitch) surface-mount footprint on a motherboard to be soldered and wired out to through-hole DIP-8 connections, providing easy probing, debugging, or IC replacement. This adaptor simplifies the interface between SMD and through-hole technologies, making it ideal for development, testing, and repair tasks.
The top side of the board fits a standard DIP-8 IC with a 0.3'' row width (DIP300). The bottom side features SMD pads for the pre-installed SMD-SMD header, which converts the footprint to a SOIC-8N pattern. The adaptor comes with the HDR-SOICN headers cut to size and already fitted on the bottom, so it is ready to use out of the box.
