Connect NVMe drives & AI accelerators to your Pi 5 with the M.2 HAT+ Board. Supports up to 500MB/s via PCIe 2.0. Active Cooler compatible.
The Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ Board enables you to connect M.2 peripherals, such as NVMe drives and AI accelerators, directly to the Raspberry Pi 5’s PCIe 2.0 interface. Supporting fast data transfer speeds of up to 500MB/s, this adapter board bridges the Raspberry Pi 5’s single-lane PCI Express 2.0 interface—exposed via a 16-pin, 0.5mm pitch FPC connector—with a subset of the M.2 standard.
Key Features and Design
This M Key mechanical adapter supports devices featuring an M.2 M key edge connector in both the 2230 and 2242 form factors. It is fully capable of supplying up to 3A of power to connected M.2 devices. For convenient installation, the board is supplied with a 16mm stacking header and threaded spacers, allowing it to be securely fitted to a Raspberry Pi 5 even when the official Raspberry Pi Active Cooler is in place. Furthermore, it includes power and activity LEDs for easy status monitoring and fully conforms to the Raspberry Pi HAT+ specification.
