The RF Solutions Keeloq RF Decoder Chip is an advanced decoder IC presented in an 18-pin PDIP package, designed to achieve the maximum possible range from any radio or infrared transmitter and receiver set. This decoder is straightforward to use and can be inserted directly into a circuit, providing a seamless integration for your electronic projects.
Security is paramount with the RF600D, utilising the highly secure Keeloq protocol to prevent copying or grabbing of signals. In standalone operation, it has the capability to learn up to 7 unique RF600E transmitters. By adding an external 96C76 EEPROM memory device, this capacity is increased to learn up to 48 unique transmitter encoders. Any data stored within the EEPROM is encrypted to maintain strict security protocols.
The RF600D connects directly to the data output of a radio receiver module. Upon detection of a valid data packet, it decodes the Keeloq encrypted data stream and asserts its 4 digital outputs when an address match occurs. These digital outputs feature 15 states and may be configured as either latching or momentary action. An additional output indicates the status of the encoder battery. Furthermore, the chip features an asynchronous serial interface and is fully compatible with RF Solutions systems.
Designed for efficiency, the decoder operates on a supply voltage between 4.5V and 5.5V, with a supply current of 700µA and a maximum data rate of 9.6 Kbaud. The component measures 43 mm in height, 33 mm in width, and 15 mm in depth, with a lightweight profile of just 1 gram.
