Socket & See Mains Test Socket Adaptor 4mm

Socket & See Mains Test Socket Adaptor 4mm is a test adaptor for electrical safety testing of UK mains sockets, allowing testing to take place without removing the socket faceplate.

Overview

The adaptor provides a secure, non-destructive method for connecting test equipment to UK standard mains sockets. By leaving the socket in place during testing, the user avoids accidental contact with live terminals, reducing the risk of electric shock. The method also helps prevent broken connections and damage to the internal components of the socket, which can occur when faceplates are repeatedly removed and refitted.

Key Benefits

• Enhanced safety: Testing is carried out with the socket in place, avoiding exposure to live parts.
• Protects installations: Helps prevent damage to socket terminals and internal connections.
• Preserves wall finishes: Avoids scratches to paint, damage to wallpaper, and cracks to plaster around the socket.
• Standardised connection point: Designed for the UK Type G plug standard, providing a consistent connection for a variety of test instruments.

Applications

Designed for electricians, facilities managers, and DIY enthusiasts who require professional-grade testing, the adaptor suits mains sockets fitted to the UK Type G plug standard. This standard is also used in Ireland, Cyprus, Saudi Arabia, Malta, and numerous other countries worldwide.
