StarTech Gold Privacy Filter for 16-inch MacBook Pro 2021 and 2023

StarTech Gold Privacy Filter for 16-inch MacBook Pro 2021 and 2023 is a double-sided privacy screen with a gold mirrored finish that helps keep on-screen content hidden from people beside the user.

Overview

This privacy filter is designed for the 16-inch MacBook Pro 2021 and 2023 models. Tilting the laptop lid switches the screen to a reflective, mirror-like surface when viewed from the side, so people beside the user cannot see what is displayed. From the central viewing position the screen remains clear, with a controlled viewing angle of 60 degrees (+/- 30 degrees from the centre).

Double-Sided Design

• High-gloss gold finish: provides maximum privacy and the distinctive mirrored effect
• Anti-glare matte finish: suited to bright environments where screen glare is an issue
• Fingerprint-resistant coating on the matte side, plus an additional layer of physical protection against scratches

Fit and Installation

The filter is designed to fit without obstructing the top-mounted webcam, the sensors around the display bezel, or closing the MacBook lid. It is secured with the supplied transparent adhesive strips.

Dimensions and Weight

The filter measures 3.3 (width) x 1.5 (depth) x 4.3 (height) and weighs 218 gm.

Eye Comfort

The filter blocks 40% to 51% of harmful blue light in the 380 nm–480 nm wavelength range, which can help reduce digital eye strain during long work sessions.

Ideal Use

Suited to busy offices, public transport, and co-working spaces, where confidential information should remain private. Choose the StarTech Gold Privacy Filter when you need a screen filter that combines discreet privacy, a matte anti-glare option, and blue light filtering for the 16-inch MacBook Pro 2021 and 2023.
