StarTech MSA Uncoded 10GbE RJ45 Copper SFP+ Module

The StarTech MSA Uncoded 10GbE RJ45 Copper SFP+ Module provides 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over standard copper cabling through an SFP+ port.

This transceiver is designed to plug into any Multi-Source Agreement (MSA)-compliant SFP+ port, enabling an existing network switch or adapter to operate as a 10GBASE-T interface. It supports 10 Gbps speeds using common Cat6a or Cat7 twisted-pair cabling, so 10 Gigabit links can be extended over RJ45 copper without moving to fibre optics.

Key Features

• MSA Compliance: Designed for MSA-compliant SFP+ ports on switches, routers, and network interface cards.
• Copper Cable Support: Uses RJ45 copper cabling for 10 Gigabit transmission.
• 10GBASE-T Standard: Compliant with the IEEE 802.3an standard.
• Hot-Swappable Design: The SFP+ form factor allows installation and removal without powering down the host device.
• Compact Form Factor: Small footprint for use in racks and chassis with limited space.

Applications

Suited to data centres, server rooms, and high-performance computing environments, the module can be used for server-to-switch links and for high-bandwidth connections to storage and virtualisation platforms.
