StarTech.com USB Galvanic Isolator with DIN Rail Mount, 6KV

The StarTech.com USB Galvanic Isolator provides essential electrical isolation for USB connections, delivering protection up to 6kV in industrial settings. Designed for reliability, it features a convenient DIN rail mount, allowing for straightforward integration into control panels, cabinets, and rack systems.

By breaking the galvanic connection between two USB-enabled devices, this isolator effectively prevents ground loops, eliminates data errors, and shields sensitive equipment from voltage surges and electrical noise. This is crucial in environments with complex power systems where potential differences can damage ports and corrupt data transmission.

Key Features

• High Isolation Voltage: Withstands up to 6,000 volts, offering robust protection against high-voltage transients and surges.
• DIN Rail Mountable: The compact design includes a secure DIN rail clip, enabling neat and organised installation in industrial enclosures.
• Industrial-Grade Protection: Ideal for safeguarding PLCs, industrial PCs, measurement instruments, and other critical USB-connected hardware from electrical disturbances.
• Preserves Data Integrity: Ensures clean, uninterrupted USB communication by preventing interference caused by ground loops and electrical noise.
• Compact Form Factor: Its small footprint (43mm x 33mm x 15mm) maximises space efficiency on crowded DIN rails.

This device is an indispensable component for any professional installation requiring stable and protected USB data links, ensuring both equipment longevity and system reliability.
